Material Makeup
Quartz is composed of silicon dioxide and commonly grows as six-sided prismatic crystals. Differences in clarity, inclusions, and growth conditions give these specimens their varied appearances. Internal rainbow effects can occur where light interacts with fractures within the quartz; they are not visible equally from every angle. These raw pieces have irregular surfaces and edges, so please examine the photos of your selected specimen closely. Read more about this crystal in our Crystal Encyclopedia.
Choose the quartz that catches your eye and bring a little natural crystal character into your collection.
