Septarian, sometimes called Septarian Nodule or Dragon Stone, formed millions of years ago when mud, minerals, and organic matter combined within ancient seabeds. As the sediment dried and cracked, minerals such as Calcite and Aragonite filled the openings, creating the dramatic patterns seen today.
