Purple Mica (commonly occurring as Lepidolite or lithium-rich Muscovite) is a sheet-silicate (phyllosilicate) mineral that forms in granitic pegmatites. It develops in distinct, paper-thin, flexible mineral plates that stack together due to its weak atomic bonding between parallel layers.

Color: Lavender, lilac, deep violet, or pinkish-purple with a pearly to metallic sheen
Mohs Hardness: 2.5 – 3
