Green Aventurine

Physical Formation
Green Aventurine is a variety of Quartz that contains tiny inclusions of fuchsite, a chromium-rich mica that gives the stone its characteristic green color. It forms when silica-rich fluids slowly crystallize within rock cavities and fractures over long periods of time. The sparkling effect sometimes visible in Aventurine is known as aventurescence.
