Bloodstone

Physical Formation
Bloodstone (traditionally called Heliotrope) is a variety of microcrystalline quartz (chalcedony) consisting primarily of dark green jasper with inclusions of iron oxides, usually Hematite. It precipitates in low-temperature hydrothermal environments and rock cavities.

Color: Deep dark green with distinctive spots and speckles of bright red to reddish-brown
Mohs Hardness: 6.5 – 7
