Amazonite

Physical Formation
Amazonite is a green to blue-green variety of microcline feldspar. Its distinctive color is believed to come from trace amounts of lead and water within the crystal structure. Amazonite forms in igneous rocks and pegmatites, where large crystals have time to develop as magma slowly cools beneath Earth's surface.
